Edmund Olivier is the Managing Director of Mirador Consulting Ltd and has over twenty years of international commercial experience in the United States, Europe and Middle East.
Mirador is well connected to the clean technology, investment and sustainable development communities. A global network of associates work with Mirador on international business development, advisory and fund-raising assignments. Clients include; technology producers, project developers, commercial & HNW investors, financial institutions, insurers, environmental consultants, utilities, World Bank and the United Nations. Edmund's work with international agencies, development banks and financial institutions has helped to facilitate broader investment into clean infrastructure projects through the adaption of existing or design of new financial risk management structures. (Early studies include Financial Risk Management Instruments for Renewable Energy Projects presented in Bonn 6/04, Contingent Financing Instruments for Clean Infrastructure Projects presented in Paris 11/03.) Current work with the public sector focuses on the faciltation of R&D and demonstration phase funding for early stage technologies and training courses on climate change and clean energy policy for international financial professionals. Prior to founding Mirador, Edmund has over fifteen years of wide-ranging commercial financial experience in; fund management, capital markets, project management, research and brokerage. He has started profitable new operating units for the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Riyad Bank, NatWest Markets (now RBS), and Banque Indosuez (now Calyon) and began his career on the commodity trading floor of the Chicago Board of Trade in 1986. Edmund has an MSc (Distinction) in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London, and BA in Political Science from Stanford University. He is a member of several financial and environmental professional associations and is registered with the Financial Services Authority in the UK and FINRA in the United States. |
